Apparently, he had been a victim of a romance scam in the past. To my bewilderment, after providing all the necessary information about the fraud case, my lost funds were recovered directly to my wallet address in less than 48 hours. I don’t know how they did it, but it was amazing. Emeraldhacks is a financial regulator and fund recovery body. They warned that these types of scams involving bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies or fake merchants are becoming common lately, and targeted victims come from different parts of the world.
